Here is Rosey Posey! I love how the layers look. I added a gold embossed wreath and wet paint hello die cut in gold foil.

PTI 11th Anniversary Sketch Challenge

Helllllooooo! It has been a long time since I posted here. I decided to play along with the PTI 11th anniversary sketch challenge.

I really liked Keeway's card and sketch inspiration.

I chose to play with To Have and To Hold. I love the delicate branches and flowers. I embossed the heart in silver and added a few stamped and die cut flowers and leaves. The silver foil "Smile" sentiment really tops it off! I also added some silver mist speckles like Keeway did.

Papertrey November Blog Hop Challenge

The pretty plaid napkin reminded me right away of my Chicken Scratch gingham papers. So I chose some Melon Berry and paired it with some kraft, branches from Color Pop Autumn and of course gold!

Tis the season

I had lots of fun this weekend cropping with my besties. Here is one of my favourite cards that I made...

I just love this park bench and lamp post set from Lawn Fawn. When embossed they look like actual cast iron! I added a stitched snow drift and some paste snow.

Christmas Joy

I have been busy making Christmas tags. I decided to link up with Simon Says Wednesday challenge "Christmas gift tags."  

I had fun with all the little details on this one. I cut out the ornament and little hanger using my Simon Ornaments stamps and die set. I also used my Simon falling snow stencil for the paste snow in the background and framed it with my Simon stitched square die. I will try a few more versions of this one!

Papertrey October Blog Hop Challenge

I decided to play along with PTI's blog hop this month. Here's the very cool inspiration image...

I love the deep blue and the impressionistic feel.

I immediately thought of Color Pop Autumn. I layered a few elements from that kit onto some wood grain patterned paper and mounted it all on a scalloped card base.

O'Tannenbaum

Well the hot and summery weather has turned cool so my thoughts go to Christmas crafting! I decided to link up with Simon Says Wednesday challenge...anything goes. 

This has to be my favourite Christmas stamp set, a Simon collaboration with Clearly Besotted. I borrowed it from a friend. I wish it was still available! I love how you get a different effect every time with distress markers on watercolour paper. Very cool. Some snowy paste dots really set the scene.

You're the best!

I have been keeping to my promise to sit at my craft table at least once a week. I needed a thank you card so here is what I came up with...

I popped up a little jar under Hero Art's gorgeous layered bouquet. I embossed the MME jar on vellum. Love how that looks! I also popped up the entire white panel and the little tag. It says "you're the best" but since it is in very pale blue ink, I know it is hard to see.

You are a wonderful friend

On this rainy long weekend I decided to play along with Simon Says Wednesday challenge, "a bit of sparkle." I played around with my Altenew magnolia set. All the magnolia blossoms around here are just about done, so it is nice to keep them alive in paper form!

I embossed the flowers, stems and leaves in gold then watercoloured them in with my Zig markers, Peerless paints and Distress markers. I fussy cut them and popped them on a base sprinkled with some Heidi Swapp gold mist. I die cut the "you" from gold foil paper and stamped the sentiment in gold Delicata from a Simon set I hadn't used in a long time. A few Simon sequins finished it off!

Papertrey April Blog Hop Challenge

On this rainy old spring day I thought I would play along with PTI's April Blog Hop. Here is the pretty inspiration pattern...

I wanted to try out a new kit I recently bought, Color Pop Autumn, and even though it isn't spring themed, I really thought it went well with this inspiration pattern. I pulled out inks I thought would match: Soft Stone, Bright Buttercup, Orange Zest, and Pink Blush and played around with the stencils in this kit. I love how the images really pop on Fresh Snow Linen.

I added a die cut sentiment in Orange Zest and matted the linen base on Soft Stone. I love how it turned out! I think my dad will too. He always loves my cards.
