Blooms

Here's another layout I made featuring my blooming pear tree last spring. If you look closely you can see a huge bumble bee on the top left branch!

I am loving hexagons right now. Not only are they all the rage right now in papercrafting, but they remind me of my favourite quilt pattern, Grandmother's Garden. So I thought this was perfect for the quilting challenge over at Frosted Designs.

I started with a woodgrain base from DCWV and splashed some white acrylic paint on it. I cut out some hexagon shapes from a MME 6x6 pad. The flags are also from MME. The chipboard title is Scenic Route and the mini alpha stickers are MLS. I also added some tulle to the top of the wooden bird cage.

Here's a close up of those hexagons.

Thanks for stopping by!
