I spent some time this week at my craft table getting messy. This is a layout of our hibiscus bush we planted in Florida. Also living in our garden is a ceramic pelican we have dubbed "Gus" for my father-in-law. This pelican used to live at their condo years ago, so we are so glad we found him a new spot to perch at our place! I took these pictures last Easter when the bush was about a foot tall. Now that bush is taller than me!!
I dug in my stash for papers from Jillibean and SEI. The chipboard title is from BoBunny, laquered leaves from Prima, a couple of Maya Road pins, letter stickers from Lily Bee, and I cut some butterflies from cork. I also sprayed some golden Smooch onto the background and "threw" some peach and yellow acrylic paint around the page too. I just love how it turned out!! Of course I have some yoga pants that will never be the same!!
Here's a couple of detail shots.
I also thought it would be fun to play along with a few challenges this week.
Jan over at LRW asked us to "Mistify" her with some mists on a project.
And Moxie Fab World has a "Splatter Technique" challenge going on right now.
Now this officially means I am only about a year "behind" in my scrapbooking!
Thanks for stopping by!

Love the splatter details and the cork butterfies are perfect!
Gorgeous page, the colours just 'pop', love those leaves and your mist/paint combo too.
Beautiful. I love the spray and the spatter and I especially love Gus. Lovely photos to scrapbook.....though I have seen you and I'm thinking that the bush now being taller than you isn't that much of an accomplishment. (Tee hee, just some teasing from someone who's 5ft. 10.)
And, no worries about the linking goof. Who hasn't done that? Thanks for playing with us at Little Red Wagon.
Thanks Jan!! As I am only 5 foot 1 you are probably right! We take our accomplishments where we can though right??! Thanks for fixing up my goof too!
just the right amount of spattering here! love the colors you chose, too!
Great page and love the splattering. Hope you are feeling better too and your mouth/face are OK.
I love the colorful splatter!
Oh I adore the splatter and cork mixture! What a fabulous way to add texture~
