Crazy Card Party-- Colouring

Leave it to Regs to ask us for some colouring this week at Crazy Card Party!  She is such a pro at colouring. I panicked a bit at first but her rules say it could be colouring with paint so I painted these poppies with water colour paint!

Celebrate Today

With the cooler nights, the trees have begun to turn which has me thinking of fall colours. I crafted up this tag for a birthday present using my Tim Holtz distress markers and my water brush. I was going for an ombre type of effect with the leaves going from green all the way to deep red.

Crazy Card Party--Colour Combo

This week at Crazy Card Party, Dee is challenging us to use a colour combo...kraft, cream, peach and brown. 

Not sure why, but these colours said coffee to me! So I made this birthday card for my sister-in-law who is a coffee fiend.

I used PTI card stock in kraft and cream, Memento ink in brown and Hero Arts ink in Fresh  Peach. I think that should cover it!

Lost in the mail...Thank you!

A while back a dear friend did something lovely for me. So I wanted to thank her. So...logical conclusion was to make her a card and send it to her house. Well...that was weeks ago and seems she has never received it! I called Canada Post and was told by a very nice lady that nothing could be done since it was sent by regular mail. Well that is very disappointing and troubling. Maybe now I know why so many of my card making friends don't actually mail away their creations!

Lesson learned? Hand deliver my cards if possible. 

So Kathryn...here is the card I made for you...who knows where it is right now!! Thank you!

Crazy Card Party-- Vellum!

Patricia is asking to see some vellum this week at Crazy Card Party. I LOOOOOOOVE vellum, especially to emboss on. So that's what I did. My friend Avril let me try her Avery Elle sentiment set so I embossed the hello on a vellum tag.

Crazy Card Party--Doilies

We all know how much Avril loves doilies! She has asked us to craft up something featuring a doilie this week at Crazy Card Party.  

I don't craft with actual paper doilies that often and I just couldn't get anything looking right for this challenge. So I decided to stamp and emboss a doilie! I love this one since it looks like the crochet doilies my Nanny used to have all over her house.

I thought I would post a thank you card I made for our neighbours who watered our flowers while we were on holidays.
