Be Merry

I have been having fun making different Christmas cards. My problem every year is I want to try all kinds of styles and techniques!

This was a simple one, but I just love how it turned out!

I put paste and glitter through my Tim Holtz stencil. Love the white on the soft blue! Like a cozy sweater. I topped it with a silver foil die cut and a silver embossed "be".

I linked up with Simon Says Wednesday challenge...anything goes

Merry & Bright

Decided to play along with Simon Says Wednesday challenge...anything goes. I had fun playing around with vellum and stencils for this one.

I inked up the background using silver ink and a birch stencil. Then I embossed some vellum with snowflakes and layered that over top. Love that look! I finished it off with some stitched hills and a frame and this pretty stag.

Crazy Card Party-- Plaid!

This week at Crazy Card Party, Kathryn is asking to see plaid.    Well I rarely use patterned paper on cards, but this inspired me to dig through my 6x6 pads and I found some very cute Simple Stories fall themed plaid paper.

Here's what I did with it...

I used PTI's Leaf Prints borrowed from fellow Party-Er Patricia. I embossed the veins in copper and watercoloured with distress markers. I put them on a panel popped up over the plaid strip. Pretty!

I can't wait to see what other pretty plaid projects the Party-Ers create this week!

Papertrey November Blog Hop Challenge

I've been busy crafting up Christmas cards. The PTI blog hop this month has such a fun inspiration retro! Look at that how those non traditional colours pop against the white tree!

I embossed Rustic Wreath in white and then watercoloured over it in teal. So fun! A red glittery die cut sentiment really contrasts nicely.

I am looking forward to seeing all the inspiration along the hop!

All is Calm All is Bright

I have been trying to find time to make Christmas cards. Last night I had fun with some paste and glitter!

I decided to link up with Simon's Wednesday challenge this week..."Christmas to die for" featuring their own exclusive dies. I used my stitched rectangle for the base along with stitched slopes and stitched village.  I love how the paste stars pop on the navy background.

Crazy Card Party-- Thanks

This week at Crazy Card Party, Rosanne has set a Thanks theme.    I love making thank you cards!

I love this big "merci" sentiment from PTI. It looks pretty with the WPlus9 Anemones. I need to practice with these more!

I can't wait to see what the other Party-Ers create this week!

You can never have enough thank you cards! I decided to link up with the Simon Says Wednesday challenge this week...Thanks/Thanksgiving.

I watercoloured through a fern stencil with my Peerless paints and distress inks. I love how it turned out. A few sequins and a die cut sentiment finished it off.

Thanks for stopping by!
