Crazy Card Party-- Botanicals

This week at Crazy Card Party, Rosanne has foliage on the mind...she is asking to see something botanical! Maybe this will inch spring along.

I made my mom a bunch of all occasion cards a while back, including this sympathy card.

Be sure to check out what the other Party-Ers have growing this week!

Crazy Card Party-- Case a CCP card!

This week at Crazy Card Party, Regs has set a very cool challenge...case a fellow Party-Er! This was hard but a great excuse to cruise through everyone's blog over the last while.

I was inspired by one of Regan's cards from October...I loved the dotty background and the watercoloured flower.

Here's what I came up with...

Thanks for the inspiration Regs! I can't wait to see who cases what this week.

Navigator Memories

I haven't posted a layout in a long time. I decided to play along with the Simon Says Monday challenge..."a piece of paradise." Nothing says paradise to me like Florida, especially on a record breaking cold day like today! Here are a few shots of our local marina...very rustic.

Some paste, mist and sequins seemed in order...

Thanks for dropping by...here's to some warm thoughts of paradise!

Crazy Card Party-- All White!

This week at Crazy Card Party, Dee is challenging us to use only white. I love it!

I pulled out all the "white" things I could think of, embossing powder, paste, glitter, vellum...

I can't wait to see what white creations the Party-Ers have whipped up this week!

Shine Bright!

Happy Tuesday! The sun is actually shining today making all the snow and frosted trees look gorgeous. I made another "bright and beautiful" card for Simon Says Wednesday challenge this week. This time I went with purple...I dug out my Peerless watercolours, I just love how vibrant they are.

Thanks for stopping by!

Shine it's your day!

I haven't played along with a Simon Says Wednesday Challenge for a long time. This week's really caught my eye! Everything "bright and beautiful." Well what could be brighter than a diamond?!

I embossed a diamond and some sequins in white and then watercoloured different pink watercolours, including some iridescent paint. Even the variegated thread behind my sentiment is sparkly!

thanks for dropping by!

Crazy Card Party-- Fave Stamp Set!

This week at Crazy Card Party Patricia is asking to see creations with our favourite stamp set. That was a hard one! I have so many favourites. But I have to say that PTI's Pedal Pusher is way up there on my list of favs. It is just so cool with all the different elements for different occasions. And every time I stamp with it I am amazed at how neat it looks. No lie, it is TORTURE to get the paper out of the dies, as my fellow Party-Er Regs will tell you. After she borrowed them to make a crazy number of Christmas cards this year, I expected to get the dies back as ground up bits of metal, figuring she wold have driven over them with her car in frustration!! LOL!

Here are two Christmas cards I made with this set this year...

The first one I avoided the die torture and stamped right on my background. First time I had done that...turned out so cool, especially as the bike goes partly off the page. Aren't those stacked presents in the basket cute?!

And for the second one, I die cut all the elements which makes the wheels turn! Love that part! Look at that trailing ivy in the basket! And how perfectly the stamps line up with the dies...that always impresses me about this set too.

I can't wait to see what favourite sets the Party-Ers feature this week! It will probably mean I will have to buy each one if I don't already own them LOL!
