This week at Crazy Card Party, Patricia is asking to see Christmas in July! Actually I was really happy when I saw this challenge...I love making Christmas cards, no matter what month it is!
I stamped some branches, berries and pine cones from various stamp sets. I popped on some silver embossed branches too. Kind of cool!
I can't wait to see what kind of Christmas stuff the other Party-Ers create this week!
Well when I saw this month's PTI blog hop inspiration photo, I knew I had to play along. I love everything about that room!
I dug out "On My Couch" and "Lighten Up" sentiments and created this little scene with Melon Berry, Aqua Mist and Blueberry Sky. Notice the gold legs on the chair! Love it!
This week at Crazy Card Party, I am up and I want to see anything tropical since the weather lately has certainly been hot hot hot!! I used my Hero Arts hibiscus set to create these pretty flowers...they are almost exactly the colour of our hibiscus flowers you can see here in the background!
I can't wait to see what kind of tropical goodness the other Party-Ers create this week!
I created a little scene inside this snow globe! I embossed the houses and snow and then watercoloured the sky with gelatos. Thanks for stopping by! cs~ Neenah, PTI, Canson stamps~ Your Next Stamp, Neat & Tangled, PTI dies~ Your Next Stamp, PTI stencils~ Simon Says Stamp
I have been loving the sneak peeks of the July PTI release tropical theme. I decided to "play along" after I saw Maile's gorgeous card featuring tropical foliage.
I used the same colour combo, adding coordinating darker shades for the leaf veins.
Looking forward to seeing the rest of the release! cs~ PTI, Neenah stamps~ PTI, Hero Arts inks~ PTI
I have been trying to find time this summer to work on layouts. When I saw the Simon Says Wednesday challenge this week, I was so inspired by the "mood" board.
I have been working on photos from our Scandinavia trip in 2013. And the image of the boardwalk reminded me of our day in Sigtuna, Sweden, on Lake Malaren.
I used a bunch of different supplies, mostly Pink Paislee, American Crafts, Teresa Collins and Basic Grey. Thanks for stopping by!
This week at Crazy Card Party, Kathryn is asking us to use washi tape. I have a pretty big collection of it and often forget to use it.This was a great excuse to try something I had been thinking about for a while. The black floral lacy pattern at the bottom of the card is actually washi tape! It is a wide roll, Recollections I think.
I embossed the big sentiment with clear powder. Special thanks to Patricia for explaining that you can emboss with black Versafine ink. I was too dumb to figure that one out myself! Doh! Brilliant that Patricia!
I used my MISTI to position lots of florals from a bunch of sets all around the sentiment. Love how it turned out! I can't wait to see how the other Party-Ersuse washi this week!
Happy Monday! Just thought I would post this card in honour of Pride Weekend! I watercoloured this laurel wreath in a rainbow pattern with my new Staedler pencils.
Happy Canada Day! Just thought I would post this card in honour of my great friends. You know who you are!
I linked up with Simon's Wednesday challenge...anything goes. have a great weekend! cs~ PTI, Ranger, Neenah, stamps~ Hero Arts, Rubbernecker inks/paints~ Peerless, Simon Says Stamp, Memento, Versafine sequins~ Simon Says Stamp
Welcome to my special place for sharing all the good things in life: travel, recipes, favourite books, and of course scrapbooking! This blog is inspired by a twist on one of my favourite sayings. The 16th century proverb goes something like "you can't make a silk purse out of a sow's ear." Well I certainly think you can. Whether it is turning travel glitches into new adventures, creating a gourmet meal out of an empty fridge, and of course transforming bits of paper, ribbon and glue into scrapbooking masterpieces.
