Papertrey September Blog Hop Challenge

Even though our weather has continued to feel more like full on summer, I have been excited to pull out my Christmas stamps. So I decided to play along with the PTI blog hop this month. 

Here is the pretty inspiration image...

And here is what I came up with...


I stamped Peaceful Pinecones branches with Green Parakeet and the cones with Dark Chocolate. I tucked a few springs of greenery behind from Winterberry cut from Green Parakeet and tied it up with some twine. I topped it off with a bow from Lovely Laurels. I added a strip of glitter at the bottom with double sided tape.

I am looking forward to seeing all the great inspiration along the blog hop!

Forever in our Hearts

I needed a sympathy card so I used my WPlus9 Anemones set for the first time this weekend. Very pretty set!

When I stamped the second darker layer on the flowers I didn't like how dramatic it looked, especially for a sympathy card, so I tried a trick I had seen...applying white pigment ink on top of a darker colour. I really like the effect!

I decided to link up with Simon Says Wednesday challenge this week...clean a simple.

Play along with us...Merry Christmas

I thought I would participate in PTI's "Play along with us" during the September release. I loved all the holiday sets, especially the greenery.




I love everything Kay Miller creates! I was especially inspired by this one during the release...

This is what I created...I stamped some branches with distress ink and lightly watercoloured them. I embossed and die cut a few pinecones from Peaceful Pinecones and topped it with a sentiment from that set as well. Some sequins and stamped red berries really finished it off and I matted everything on a Classic Kraft base.

This release has really inspired me to open up my Christmas stamping stash and dive in!

Crazy Card Party-- Trees!

This week at Crazy Card Party,  I am up and I'd like to see anything to do with trees...actual trees, branches, leaves, wood grain....

    





I embossed the trunk and the leaves. I love the little red die cut bird! Trees just make me happy.



I can't wait to see what the other Party-Ers create this week for our tree theme!
