Crazy Card Party-- Fave Stamp Set!

This week at Crazy Card Party Patricia is asking to see creations with our favourite stamp set. That was a hard one! I have so many favourites. But I have to say that PTI's Pedal Pusher is way up there on my list of favs. It is just so cool with all the different elements for different occasions. And every time I stamp with it I am amazed at how neat it looks. No lie, it is TORTURE to get the paper out of the dies, as my fellow Party-Er Regs will tell you. After she borrowed them to make a crazy number of Christmas cards this year, I expected to get the dies back as ground up bits of metal, figuring she wold have driven over them with her car in frustration!! LOL!

Here are two Christmas cards I made with this set this year...

The first one I avoided the die torture and stamped right on my background. First time I had done that...turned out so cool, especially as the bike goes partly off the page. Aren't those stacked presents in the basket cute?!

And for the second one, I die cut all the elements which makes the wheels turn! Love that part! Look at that trailing ivy in the basket! And how perfectly the stamps line up with the dies...that always impresses me about this set too.

I can't wait to see what favourite sets the Party-Ers feature this week! It will probably mean I will have to buy each one if I don't already own them LOL!

Papertrey January Blog Hop Challenge

It has been a long time since I played along with any challenges. Papertrey's "heart" theme for this month's blog hop caught my attention.

I created my own stencil with a small heart die. And I love how vellum looks over top of stenciling or stamping.

Crazy Card Party-- Bokeh!

It's my turn to pick the challenge this week at Crazy Card Party. I say it's bokeh time! I have always loved that soft unfocused look of layered circles. Sort of how the world usually looks to my eyes anyway LOL! 

I watched this great video at WPlus9 and then played around with distress ink water colouring. I even made my own circle stencil like she does in the video. I was really happy with how it turned out, but I know it is a bit hard to see in my photos. In real life it looks very cool!

Crazy Card Party-- Wedding!

This week at Crazy Card Party Kathryn is all about weddings. Well duh, makes sense as she has a big wedding coming up in her family in a few months!

I kept things really simple. I embossed Rustic Wreath in silver and added a glittery die cut sentiment and some silver twine. 

Full disclosure...this is actually an anniversary card if you could see the inside sentiment. Sorry Kathryn...but it sort of counts right since an anniversary is like a wedding, only years later, and less stress!

Crazy Card Party-- Something New

This week at Crazy Card Party, Rosanne is asking to see "something new." Well, right before Christmas I ordered myself a stamp set I had been coveting for some time...WPlus9 Fresh Cut Containers. I tried out a watercolour technique with distress markers on this retirement card for my fellow Party-Er Kathryn. Now that is also something new! I also used a new stitched tag die from Simon that I also got just before Christmas. So that is three new things!

Crazy Card Party-- Celebrate!!

This week at Crazy Card Party, Regan is asking us to Celebrate. I made this card for my friend Mary who is having a birthday this week. I made sure her card was bright and happy, just like her!

I love this big sentiment from a new Avery Elle set I got at the Bug. And inside I added another sentiment from the set: "Time to drink champagne and dance on the table!"
