Crazy Card Party-- Birds

Well it's for the birds this week at Crazy Card Party, at least according to Kathryn.

I made this card for my father in law's birthday...he loves to watch the birds at his backyard feeders. I embossed the birch trees in white and then rubbed on some inks to make a sort of sun peeking through the forest.

I can't wait to see all the feathered friends that the Party-Ers craft up this week!

Thanks so much-- Pretty Pink Posh Watercolor Blog Hop!

I have been having so much fun playing around with watercolouring lately that I thought I would link up with the Pretty Pink Posh blog hop this weekend.

I used my distress markers to watercolour these florals from My Favorite Things. I arranged them in a WPlus9 watering can that I embossed silver. The arrangement is set on a subtle Peerless watercoloured background. Some delicate silver metallic thread and a tiny tag finished it off.

I am looking forward to checking out all the stops on the blog hop and getting lots of inspiration to keep up my obsession with watercolouring!

Crazy Card Party-- Masculine!

This week at Crazy Card Party, Rosanne is asking to see some manliness! Of course I thought of father's day.

I embossed a laurel wreath from a Simon set that had yet to see ink and added a stag head from WPlus9.  I totally stole this design idea from Regs and the gorgeous Christmas card she gave me this year. :)

Can't wait to see what masculine goodness the other Party-Ers come up with this week.

Yup I am still making thank you cards! With this cold rainy weather, it is easy to stay in my craft room all weekend!

I had fun playing around with my distress markers and My Favorite Things' Peaceful Wildflowers. I grounded the stems on a background of Peerless watercolour.

Crazy Card Party-- Get Well

This week at Crazy Card Party, Regs is asking for Get Well cards. Well those are always important to have on hand.

I embossed a jar on vellum and filled it with some florals from Bitty Bouquet. Fun!
