Crazy Card Party-- Stencils!

This week at Crazy Card Party Avril is asking us to use stencils. I love my stencils and I use them all the time on layouts. This is one of the rare times I used a stencil to make a card.

I coloured some texture paste with paint and mist. Then I added sparkly embossing powder and heated it up. Looks very cool in real life.

You and Me at Hell's Gate

I thought I would post another layout from our BC trip. My aunt and uncle took us to Hell's Gate on the Fraser River. A scary cable car ride but such a great view.

To British Columbia

When I saw the Simon Says Wednesday challenge theme of Vacation/Travel for this week, I knew I had to play along!

Here is a page from our trip to BC two years ago. We changed planes in Chicago and saw a very interesting spectacle from the terminal...a ramp ceremony for a returned soldier.  It's kind of hard to see in the photo, but the firetrucks were "saluting" the incoming plane and then the coffin when it was off loaded. Very compelling scene.

 

The stars and red and blue seemed appropriate for the American ceremony.

Crazy Card Party--Cork!

It's my turn this week at Crazy Card Party and I chose cork! Everyone who knows me knows I am an old wino. So why not use some cork on a crafty project?!  

I die cut my sentiment out of cork. Love how it contrasts with the flowers and compliments the kraft!

I hope you play along with us this week at Crazy Card Party and dig out some cork and why not have a glass of vino while you are at it! Be sure to raise a glass to the other Party-Ers as well and see what sort of creations they made out of cork this week.

Granville Island

Thought I would post one more layout.  We had a ton of fun at Granville Island with my cousin and her family.

Oh Happy Day

I haven't scrapped any layouts lately but I did make a bunch at Scrapfest last month! I thought I would post a few of our trip to BC in July 2012.

Crazy Card Party--New Beginnings

This week on Crazy Card Party, Kathryn is asking for cards all about new beginnings. This made me think of weddings. Here is a wedding card I made a while back with my PTI Pedal Pusher set. Aren't those tin cans tied to the back of the bike adorable?!
