Happy Father's Day

I figured I had better get started on my Father's day cards! I used a similar technique here as my "Sending you Sunshine" card I posted earlier this week.

This one is for my dad and he loves nature. So I used my new Tim Holtz wood grain embossing folder and then sanded, distressed and inked the background. I stamped a Cornish Heritage Farms owl and branch and then coloured them with my copics. I even added some glossy accents to the owl's eyes, but I know it is hard to see here. I added some leaves cut with Spellbinders and some flowers from my wagon and tiny acrylic flowers my friend Dee gave me. Some PTI twine finished off the rustic look.

Judy over at LRW issued a challenge this week for cards for dad. So I thought it would be fun to play along as always with those great ladies and their terrific challenges.

Have a great weekend everyone!
