Crazy Card Party...Friends

It looks like there is no challenge at CCP this week...so I made up my own...Friends! That is what Crazy Card Party is all about for me. 

So I played around with my distress inks and markers and came up with this.

A Bouquet...

I recently got a new stamp set by Stampendous and have been having fun playing with it.

I embossed the mason jar on vellum and the florals on watercolour paper. I had fun colouring them in with my Peerless colours and distress inks.  I stamped the stems directly on the watercolour paper with distress ink and coloured them lightly as well with the ink. I love how the stems look behind the vellum.

You Tickle My Fancy

Here's another card I made while crafting with my besties recently. I dug out my neglected WPlus9 Fanciful Feathers and Ink Splats sets and had some fun.

I used my favourite technique lately...watercolouring over white embossing. Love how the feathers turned out. Some ink splats and confetti made a cool background.

Hey There

I thought I'd show another card I made while cropping with my friends this past weekend. I embossed a butterfly in white on watercolour paper and coloured it in with Peerless paint. The background is a Moroccan design with paste.

Crazy Card Party-- Vintage

This week on Crazy Card Party I want to see something vintage! The idea can mean different things to different people...wine, classic, retro. 

Currently I am in love with vintage pyrex and have collected my first few pieces. So I thought my PTI Bowl of  Sunshine set was perfect.

I embossed three bowls for that authentic shiny look and stacked them up on some classic kraft. Even the sentiment has a vintage feel!

I can't wait to see the vintage vibe over at Crazy Card Party this week!

Celebrate!

I had a great time this past weekend scrapping with my friends. There was a lot of watercolouring going on! That's been my favourite technique lately, especially over white embossing. My Peerless watercolour sheets and my Ranger distress markers have been my favourite media.

Crazy Card Party-- Birds

Well it's for the birds this week at Crazy Card Party, at least according to Kathryn.

I made this card for my father in law's birthday...he loves to watch the birds at his backyard feeders. I embossed the birch trees in white and then rubbed on some inks to make a sort of sun peeking through the forest.

I can't wait to see all the feathered friends that the Party-Ers craft up this week!
