Stroll

This week I did another layout of our stroll through the Sydney Botanic Gardens just before heading to the airport. I used more retro Scenic Route and played with my punchinella stencil again with some texture paste.

And here's a few detail shots...

I linked up with the Simon Says Stamp challenge blog this week...anything goes! So I figured using some of my fav techniques and stash like mist, texture paste, felt, banners and fussy cutting would go!

Sydney Botanic Gardens

I had some fun this week playing with vintage Scenic Route from my friend Avril! She also lent me the MFT die to make this fun felt flower. I also added some Martha Stewart Texture Effect to the background using my Punchinella stencil from Crafters Workshop plus some splashes of mists. I dug into my stash of washi tap to make the banner on the bottom.

With Sympathy

I am grateful that I rarely have occasion to make sympathy cards. But this past weekend my dear colleague's wife passed away, much much too soon. I know this card cannot come close to giving him some comfort at this time, but I just wanted him to know that I was thinking of him and his family. 

I turned to my trusty PTI Friendship Jar set and some soft MME papers. I like the way the hexagon negative card stock pieces focus the attention on the hearts inside the jar. I hope this can convey the heartfelt message and capture in some small way the love my colleague shared with his wife.

  

I thought this was perfect for the Moxie Fab World Focal Point challenge this week.

Celebrate Today

Last night I scrapped with some great friends and played with some of my favourite PTI stamps. I decided to combine several of my big obsessions right now, jars, hexies and butterflies!

Just wanted to say

I made a thank you card for a special colleague this weekend. I experimented with my new Martha Stewart texture paste and my Crafters Workshop chicken wire stencil. Pretty cool!

I also decided to play along with Moxie Fab World's asymmetrical challenge. I like how the stenciling weighs the design towards the bottom,. but that the doilie balances it out on top! Plus I played along with Helen's challenge over at The Bug. She was asking for a tag plus fussy cutting. It gave me a chance to use my new PTI tag die I won at the crop in July.

Wish Big

I played around with my stamps again! This card is for my nephew's birthday coming up. I thought stars and cork would be perfect. I played along with the Simon Says Stamp and Show challenge this week for their Stamp-tember fest! I stamped my stars with a "celebrate" definition stamp to add some text to the card.

Moxie Fab Tuesday Trigger

I decided to play along with the Moxie Fab Tuesday Trigger this week. Isn't this inspiration photo just gorgeous? Cathy comes up with the most amazing things.

The grandmothers garden quilt pattern has always been one of my favs. So here's the card I came up with. I just can't seem to stop using my new PTI Friendship Jar set. I am so thrilled to have it. I stamped a firefly inside the jar.

My Friend

I made this card for my friend Tina's birthday coming up soon. I water coloured the jar and flowers. Kinda cool! I also decided to link this up with the "button" challenge over at The Bug.
