LRW Clouds

I've been putting clouds on pretty much everything lately. I just love what they add! So how happy was I when Tammy over at LRW issued a challenge to use clouds this week!

I've used some hand cut clouds plus some cut with MFT dies on this layout of Key West last Christmas. I also added some kraft tickets from Tim Holtz that really complemented the DCWV papers. I also added some felt from Creative Cafe plus some pearls and trim from my wagon.

Here's a detail shot. Lots of fussy cutting too.

Thanks Tammy for a great challenge! It is always fun to play along with LRW.

Good Times

I found some time over March Break to do some crafting so I made these two layouts of our trip to Australia last July. It was "winter" down under, but of course we marvelled at the lovely warm temps (low 20s) so much that we had to take a photo of our travel clock/thermometer to prove it!

My friend Charlotte took us down the coast to a beach town, Culburra, and we stayed in the cutest, most colourful little cottage. And since it was "winter," we had the beach and town pretty much to ourselves.

I dug in my stash for some Basic Grey Lemonade papers, plus some of my mom's crochet flowers, various Thickers and even my Dymo label maker.

Here are some detail shots.

What fun memories! Thanks for stopping by!

Big Day

Back on March 10th I attended a wonderful charity day crop, Making Memories Matter, for Lisaard House. I had great laughs with friends and though my DH was distracting me all day via text and phone calls (!) I managed to get two pages done.

These are pics from a day trip to Key West at Christmas 2010, using Basic Grey's Lauderdale line.

Thanks again for such a great day! The food was delicious, the prizes were generous and the company was oh so much fun!

NOT just the boys

My inlaws are heading to FLA in a week to spend a month there. So in honour of that, I decided to scrap some photos from last March break when we were there with them. My inlaws are real beach nuts. My DH and I not so much. But since we were there at the same time, it was a great excuse to check out some of the great Gulf beaches nearby.

These are some shots at Venice Beach. When I saw the title "Just the Boys" as part of the MME "Good Day Sunshine" line, I knew I had to use it. I also added chipboard elements from Studio G and Jenni Bowlin.

Here's some detail shots.

I just love this layout. It makes me smile!

In the Keys

And here's the final layout I did at the CHA crop at TSF this past weekend. I used Basic Grey papers from their Lauderdale line plus bling and twine from Doodlebug. I hand cut and crimped the title letters. I thought this would go really well with Shelby's challenge to put some sunshine on a layout for the TSF online crop that is going on right now.

Family Time at Venice

Here's another layout that I completed this weekend at the CHA crop. I also thought that it went perfectly with Christa's challenge over at the TSF Online Crop, to dig into old summer stash. These papers are from MME's "Good Day Sunshine" line from last year. I also added chipboard from Studio G and Jenni Bowlin plus stickers from October Afternoon.

I love the far away photo of my inlaws at the beach and my DH looking at them. Priceless! They love the beach so much.

Thanks for looking!

Family

I had great fun at the CHA crop at TSF on Saturday and got a few layouts done. I also decided to participate in the TSF online crop to Chase Away the Winter Blues! Jayne has challenged us to use a stamp or postcard on a layout. So I dug out my stamp-shaped Cuttlebug die that had been gathering dust. I thought it would be cool to highlight the title with those shapes. I used MME's Wonderful Winter line.

This was my parents' first time at our place in Florida. They were very happy to escape winter last Christmas!

I also added a banner across the bottom and popped up some of the Christmas trees and snowmen. A neat contrast to the tropical photos!

Thanks Jayne for a fun challenge!
